The Suspension Bible

Seeing it all come together

So with all the suspension talk on the previous pages, wouldn't it be interesting (if you're into that sort of thing) to see it all working? Fortunately, there are people around who will clamp a sports videocamera to the underside of a car and go driving with it. Zach Scott is one such person and you can thank him for the lovely video presented here. He clamped a camera under the back of his Mazda Miata for an autocross run. You can see how the suspension works to keep everything in contact with the road, and you can also see the tyre deformation in the corners. Think about this next time you're driving.
